1. MICROPHONE USE

This app uses your device's microphone solely for the main audio recording function initiated by the user. Audio is never collected in the background. Recording only starts when you manually activate it through the floating widget or home screen widget.

2. LOCAL STORAGE

Recordings are saved exclusively on your device's internal memory. Cronaudio does not upload your recordings to any external server. If you uninstall the application, recordings saved in the private folder will be deleted.

The app also stores meeting data (titles, dates, timers) and user preferences locally. Sensitive data such as subscription status is encrypted locally using EncryptedSharedPreferences (AES-256-GCM).

3. DEVICE IDENTIFIERS

Cronaudio generates a random universally unique identifier (UUID) that is stored locally on your device. This identifier is used exclusively as an obfuscated account for Google Play's billing system and is not linked to your personal identity. No ANDROID_ID or other hardware identifiers are used.

4. ADVERTISING (AdMob)

Free users see ads powered by Google AdMob, including banners, interstitials, and optional rewarded video ads. AdMob may collect device identifiers (Advertising ID) and usage data to personalize advertising. Premium subscribers enjoy an ad-free experience.

5. ADVERTISING CONSENT AND PRIVACY

Cronaudio uses the Google User Messaging Platform (UMP) SDK to manage your consent regarding the use of advertising data. Before showing personalized ads, your consent will be requested in accordance with GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation), TCF v2.3 (Transparency and Consent Framework), and US state privacy laws (CCPA and similar). You can change your advertising privacy preferences at any time from the app's Settings.

6. ANALYTICS AND CRASH REPORTS

We use Firebase Analytics to understand how the app is used and Firebase Crashlytics to identify and fix errors. This data helps us improve the app and is processed anonymously. No audio content is ever transmitted.

7. REMOTE CONFIGURATION (Firebase Remote Config)

Cronaudio uses Firebase Remote Config to dynamically adjust ad frequency settings. This service may collect app instance identifiers and basic device data. No personal information is transmitted through this service.

8. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS (Firebase Cloud Messaging)

Cronaudio uses Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) to send notifications about new app versions and other relevant communications. When the app is installed, an FCM token is generated that identifies your device for notification delivery. This token is a technical identifier managed by Firebase and is not linked to your personal identity. You can disable notifications at any time from Android Settings.

9. PREMIUM SUBSCRIPTIONS

Cronaudio offers optional premium subscriptions (monthly and annual) through Google Play. Subscriptions are managed entirely by Google Play and are subject to Google's terms. You can cancel anytime from your Google Play account settings.

10. PURCHASE VERIFICATION

To ensure transaction security, subscription purchase tokens may be verified through a backend service hosted on Firebase Cloud Functions, which queries the Google Play Developer API. Verification logs are temporarily stored in Firebase Firestore for audit purposes. These logs contain only the product identifier, verification result, and timestamp, with no personally identifiable information.

11. IN-APP UPDATES

Cronaudio uses the Google Play In-App Updates API to notify you when a new version is available. This functionality is managed through Google's Play Core library and does not collect additional data beyond checking update availability.

12. FOREGROUND SERVICE

The app uses a foreground service with a persistent notification to ensure recording and audio playback are not interrupted when you switch apps or turn off the screen. A partial WakeLock is used to prevent the processor from entering sleep mode during active recording. These are Android technical requirements for continuous audio operation.

13. NOTIFICATIONS

Cronaudio may send notifications to inform you about recording status, playback service state, and available updates. You can manage notification permissions in Android Settings.

14. SHARING

You can share your recordings with other apps using Android's standard sharing system (FileProvider). Shared files are handled according to the receiving app's privacy policy.

15. WIDGETS

Cronaudio provides a floating widget and a home screen widget (Glance) for quick access to recording and meeting controls. These widgets do not collect any data independently.

16. APP SECURITY

Cronaudio implements security checks to protect app integrity, including APK signature verification and modified environment detection. These checks are performed locally on your device and do not transmit any data to external servers. All network traffic uses HTTPS/TLS encryption.

17. DATA DELETION

You have full control over your data:

Delete individual recordings from the recordings list.

Delete individual meetings from the meetings screen.

Delete all data by uninstalling the app or clearing storage from Android Settings.

Cancel premium subscription anytime from Google Play.

Reset the Advertising ID or disable ad personalization from Android Settings.

19. PERMISSIONS

Cronaudio requests only the strictly necessary permissions:

Microphone: For audio recording.

Internet and network state: For advertising, analytics, subscriptions, and purchase verification.

Display over other apps: For the floating widget.

Notifications: To inform about recording status and updates.

Vibration: For haptic feedback on recording controls.

Keep device awake (WakeLock): To prevent interruptions during recording.

Billing: To manage premium subscriptions through Google Play.

TERMS OF USE

1. ACCEPTANCE

By downloading and using Cronaudio, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the application.

2. RESPONSIBLE USE

You are solely responsible for the content you record. You must not use this application to record individuals without their consent if local laws prohibit it. We strongly encourage ethical and legal recording practices.

3. PREMIUM FEATURES

Premium subscribers receive additional benefits including an ad-free experience and extended features such as advanced audio qualities and unlimited meeting management. Subscription terms and pricing are displayed in the app and managed through Google Play.

4. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The software, designs, and branding are the exclusive property of the developers. Reverse engineering, modification, or redistribution of the code is not permitted.

5. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

The application is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not responsible for:

Loss of recordings due to device failures or battery depletion.

Android operating system errors or updates.

Third-party app interference.

User error or accidental deletion.

6. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these terms from time to time. In such an event, you will be notified of the update and prompted to accept or reject it in the next available version of the application.
